Product Description

The main configuration of the VT-2 tank includes: an 800-horsepower turbocharged diesel engine (which can be replaced with a 1500-horsepower engine upon customer request), a manual transmission (with an optional automatic transmission), a 125mm two-way stabilized smoothbore gun, and an automatic loader.

The tank turret and hull utilize welding technology, allowing for the application of explosive reactive armor (ERA) and add-on armor. The turret sides are fitted with modular FY-4 wedge-shaped ERA, and the front of the hull is also equipped with ERA. Wavy side skirts are used on both sides, and the tracks are new forged double-pin tracks. It is equipped with a NBC protection system and an automatic fire suppression system.

Its main armament consists of a 125mm smoothbore cannon with a 48-caliber barrel, an elevation range of -6 to 19 degrees, a basic ammunition load of 41 rounds, and ammunition types including BTA-4 fin-stabilized discarding sabot armor-piercing rounds, RTJ1 high-explosive anti-tank rounds, BTE2 high-explosive shells, and GP125 gun-launched missiles. It is equipped with an automatic loader, a maximum rate of fire of 8 rounds per minute, a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun with 500 rounds of ammunition, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun with 2250 rounds of ammunition, and two sets of 6-cell smoke grenade launchers.
