Basic Positioning: The IBIS400S (RT8) is a tactical air defense phased array radar with rapid scanning, multi-target tracking, and anti-jamming capabilities, suitable for battlefield situational awareness by mobile air defense forces.
Platform: This radar system has been publicly showcased at the 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Zhuhai Airshow 2024) and is integrated onto heavy-duty off-road chassis such as the Beiben heavy truck, forming a mobile air defense combat unit with excellent strategic and tactical mobility.
Combat Role: It typically operates in conjunction with air defense weapon systems, such as the Tianlong missile air defense weapon system and the 35mm gun-missile combined weapon system, forming a comprehensive air defense system to achieve a closed-loop “detection-interception” operation.
Technical Characteristics: As a phased array radar, its antenna uses electronic scanning technology, achieving 360-degree coverage without mechanical rotation. It has a fast response speed and is suitable for engaging high-speed, low-altitude targets such as drones, cruise missiles, and fixed-wing aircraft.
