Is it right for me? NIJ Level IIIA (3A) is typically the highest protection level for soft armor. It can protect you from BB gun rounds up to .44 Magnum rounds. This Compass Armor meets NIJ0101.06 ballistic protection standards.
The bulletproof vest is available in six sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. Please use this size chart. Your bulletproof vest size is not your T-shirt size. Use this height and weight chart to choose the best vest size for you.
Another point to note regarding bulletproof vest sizing: Your bulletproof vest needs to fit snugly in one key area: around the navel. The length of the vest isn’t important, as you can adjust it with the shoulder straps; the important factor to consider is chest circumference.
What does this vest protect against? A Class IIIA vest can protect against virtually all handgun bullets. NIJ Class IIIA vests are tested to protect against bullets up to .44 Magnum. Rest assured, our Class IIIA vest can protect you from almost any handgun damage.
What can’t it protect against? No vest can protect against every bullet, and without additional ballistic plates, a Class IIIA vest cannot withstand heavy fire. That’s why we offer additional ballistic plate models, and we also sell ballistic plates to upgrade your vest.
