The SR-5 multiple rocket launcher features a modular design, a 6×6 wheeled high-mobility chassis, and a box-type launch system, enabling rapid replacement of rockets and missiles of different calibers. Its automatic loading technology significantly improves reloading speed and operational sustainability. The wheeled high-mobility chassis gives the launcher strong battlefield adaptability, facilitating road mobility and rapid deployment.
The SR-5’s launch box can be loaded with rockets, missiles, loitering munitions, UAVs, etc., and ammunition can be pre-loaded into the launch box. This launch box serves as both the launcher and the transport and storage container. This simplifies ammunition support and improves loading efficiency. Compared to other rocket artillery systems, the SR-5 also features a retractable pylon. This retractable pylon allows for autonomous loading of ammunition modules within minutes, enabling rapid transition to combat readiness. This self-reloading method reduces logistical requirements and enhances sustained combat capability on the battlefield. [5]

The SR-5’s universal launch platform is compatible with a variety of munitions:
Rockets: 122mm and 300mm caliber rockets, covering short and medium ranges [4]
Missiles: C-705 anti-ship missiles and Jinlong 300 short-range ballistic missiles, expanding the range for both anti-ship and anti-land strikes
Loitering munitions: Capable of launching loitering munitions (suicide drones), which can be used to precisely strike high-value targets
